Onething conference

Onething conference

Onething (marketed as ONETHING) is an annual Christian conference put on by the International House of Prayer every December at the Bartle Hall Convention Center in Kansas City, MO.[1]

Contents

Themes

The conference focuses on worship music and sermons on prayer, evangelism, and Christian eschatology.[2][3] It was initially inspired when Paul Cain, a former associate of IHOP leadership, claimed to have a spiritual experience in which he saw thousand of young people gathering in Kansas City.[4] In addition to theological instruction, the speakers often deliver inspirational messages on themes such as living a life without regrets.[5] The sessions often include long periods of prayer for the United States, sometimes lasting until midnight.[4] A particular emphasis is given to prayer for Colleges and College students.[6] The attendees numbered over 25,000 in 2010.[2] Most attendees are young adults.[7]
