One Truth was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He was raised by a single mother who had been a civil rights activist involved with multiple activist's groups. One Truth carries his parent's activist sensibilities into his art, displaying a different perspective that crosses cultural ties and genres. His songs are inspired by the reality of life.[1][2] This artist reached a distribution agreement in 2009 with Nashville record label, Bakertown Records. One Truth has appeared on JCTV and been featured on collaboration albums.
