Onamalutu River Mouth Wairau River Basin countries New Zealand Length 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) The Onamalutu River is a river of the Marlborough Region of New Zealand's South Island. It initially flows northeast, turning southeast to reach the Wairau River five kilometres northwest of Renwick. The Māori language does not use the consonant l, so the name is thought to be a European corruption of Onamahutu.[1]
