Omeonga is a town in the Sankuru District, Kasai-Oriental, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It lies around 25 miles (40 km) south southeast of the nearest large town, Katako-Kombe. The town lies near the center of a 30 km diameter depression, which is a proposed but unproven ancient impact crater.[1]

Also the Chiefs or the possessors of the name Omeonga are considered royal. Omeonga is also a name meaning "Man of Pillars" or "Noble".[citation needed]
