Omar Ibrahim Ghalawanji (born 1954) is the current Minister of Local Administration for Syria, serving since 2011. He previously served as the Minister of Housing and Construction.

Early life, education and career

Ghalawanji was born in the Tartous Governorate in 1954. He earned a degree in civil engineering from the Tishreen University in 1978.
