Biography
Olyvia Kwok began her career as an art dealer in 2004, having been mentored at Sotheby’s, and educated with an MA at the British Museum specializing in 15th century Chinese Southern School paintings.
Over the next few years Olyvia Kwok strengthened her involvement with the Chinese contemporary scene becoming one of the youngest ever ‘sole buyers’ for an art fund with a $25M budget to build a collection for a private bank in Geneva, and acting as principal buyer for a Private Trust in Florida, eventually composing a $5M collection.
Gallery
Olyvia Fine Art, formerly Olyvia Oriental, was founded in 2005 by Olyvia Kwok, focussed on contemporary Chinese painting in the UK. The gallery has recently expanded to include major Western modern masters and contemporary artists.
By 2006 Kwok had placed significant works in the collections of museums such as the Guggenheim and the British Museum, while working with collectors such as Charles Saatchi and Larry Walsh of New York. She has also been seen with up and coming art dealer/gallerist Daniel Arissol from London.
