off our backs (sometimes referred to by its initials, oob) is a radical feminist periodical published in Washington, D.C.. It has been published continuously since it was founded in February 1970, making it the longest-running feminist periodical currently published in the United States.

off our backs began as a twelve-page tabloid, with the first issue published on February 27, 1970. It is currently published as a bimonthly magazine.

Since its founding, off our backs has been edited and published by a collective of women, using consensus decision-making for all decisions. Marilyn Webb, Heidi Steffens, Marlene Wicks, Colette Reid, and Norma Lesser formed the original off our backs collective (Brownmiller 74). Current members are Carol Anne Douglas, Amaya Roberson, Sherri Whatley, Laura Butterbaugh, Farar Elliott, Angie Manzano, Karla Mantilla, Jennie Ruby, Jenn Smith, and Angie Young.[1]

According to the "off our backs" website, publication has ceased as of 2008.[2]
