Obie Fernandez is a Ruby and Ruby on Rails developer.[1] He has authored The Rails Way[2] and has become the editor of Addison-Wesley's Professional Ruby series.[3] His vocal advocacy of Ruby over Java has garnered wide criticism.[4] He founded and heads Hashrocket, a company offering Ruby development services.[5] He also organizes a business conference BizConf, which is hosted by Hashrocket.[6]
