The centre was first opened in 1985 and then redeveloped in 2008, having agreed upon a new anchor tenant Sainsburys which replaced the previous anchor, Curleys Supermarket. The Centre currently has 17 stores including Boots, Internacionale, Priceless Shoes, Poundstretcher, Supermacs & Papa John’s, Oaks Post office and Semichem. The complex has a 6 screen cinema operated by Global Cinemas, Sainsburys petrol station, Mc Donald’s and Chinese Buffet restraint. A new development has seen Funky Monkeys children’s soft play area come to the complex.
