History
The firm was established as the first Portuguese newspaper on 22 January 1900 by Prof. Messias Gomes and Luís de Menezes Bragança in Goa, the O Heraldo which was critical of Portuguese colonial rule, which was later transformed into an English daily in 1987.[1]
