- Notawasepe Potawatamie Reservation

The Notawasepe Potawatamie Reservation was the home of the principal ancestors of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi starting in 1821. The reservation was disbanded in 1833.
The reservation was first established in 1821 and significantly expanded in 1827.

Pamptopi was the Chief of the original Notawaseppi Reservation before the removal of 1833. the return of the Potawatomi of 1848 was acting Chief John Magwago and then after Phanease Pamtopi and his son carried it into the early 1900's Chief Steven Pamptopi, the last acting Chief was then Samual Mandoka, from then on the Notawaseppi Huron Potawatomi band created what we now call Tribal Council to act as repersentitives for the rest of the tribal members of the Notawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi indians of lower Michigan.
