It is made with rye, barley and Indian corn (maize). Each grain is fermented, distilled, and aged separately to produce grain whiskies. After distillation Northern Light whisky is aged separately for 36 months in white oak barrels of varying toasting levels. Nothern Light Canadian Whisky is a brand owned by Sazerac Company Brands and bottled at the Barton Brands distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. It has a smooth, light taste and is known for its mixability with other beverages and its inexpensive price among Canadian Whisky. The Northern Light facility itself has more than a century of distilling skill that expertly blends and distills the brand under the supervision of the Canadian Government. Northern Light is a 'whisky mix' meaning that it is a blend of various whiskies and neutral grain spirits.
