It is available under the nopCommerce Public License[1] and officially launched in October 2008 for small to medium-sized businesses.
nopCommerce is a secure, scalable and extendable e-commerce platform.[2][3][4] It has administration tools to manage a storefront, customers, wish lists, discounts, and coupons. It also has flexible tax support and multi-lingual support, as well as support for the most popular gateways: Authorize.net, PayPal, Google Checkout, 2Checkout, and more. nopCommerce also runs in Medium Trust.[5]
nopCommerce was a finalist in the 2010 and 2011 Packt Open Source E-Commerce Award.[6][7]
nopCommerce is in top 5 most downloaded applications provided by Microsoft Web Platform Installer.[8] It's also the 16th most downloaded application from Codeplex.[9]
