Captain Arthur Noel Edwards (December 10, 1883 - May 25, 1915) was an English polo champion who participated in the 1911 International Polo Cup.[1]
Biography
He was the second son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Edwards of Beech Hill Park Waltham Abbey, born on December 10, 1883.
Arthur Noel Edwards participated in the 1911 International Polo Cup and qualified for the number two position in 1913.
He was a Captain in the 9th Queen's Royal Lancers and died in World War I on May 25, 1915 as the result of a poison gas attack by the Germans during the Second Battle of Ypres. He was buried in Bailleul. There is a memorial in the Church of the Holy Innocents, High Beach, Epping, in Essex.[2]
