This ground-breaking album assured Black's status as one of Ireland's most respected artists in Europe and also in the US, where the release of the album greatly increased her popularity. It went straight to the top of the Irish album chart and remained there for numerous weeks. No Frontiers remains as one of the biggest-selling albums in Irish history and has helped to define an era in Irish music.[1]
