Brief introduction

Suzhou No.10 Middle School[1] is one of the four-star middle schools in Jiangsu province. It is located in the south-east of Suzhou. It has more than one hundred years’ history.

History

Suzhou No.10 Middle School was established by Wangxiechangda in 1906 and was named as ‘zhenhuanvzhong’ which meant China’s resurgence. Zhangbinglin and Caiyuanpei once served as school managers. In 1917, Wangjiyu took charge of the school and many famous people once taught here, such as Zhangtaiyan, Hushizhi and Beishizhang.

Scene

Suzhou No.10 Middle School is regarded as ‘the most Chinese school’[2]. It covers an area of 30536 square meters and the green area shares 37%. The west garden is the remains of Weaving Department of Qing dynasty. There are many antiques and monuments in the campus, such as Ruiyun Peak, Zhenhua Hall, Weiji Tablet, Jisi Pavilion, Ninghuai Pavilion.

Alumni

Since Suzhou No.10 Middle School was established, it has trained many celebrities. They are Feixiaotong, Hezehui[3], Yangjiang[4], Heyizhen, Hushuqin, Yanweimin, Wangshuzhen, Zhulinan etc.
