The Nkrumah University is Zambia's largest teacher training university, founded in 1971. It has a student population of about 6,000.




The Nkrumah University is divided into the following departments:


Its main campus — Munkoyo Street Campus — is about 3 km from Kabwe City. It also just acquired PEDESA Campus along the same street (famously called Pan-African Institute); this campus will help expand the capacity and smooth running of the university.
