Nizar Mahrous (born on 1 January 1963 in Syria) is a former Syrian football player and was appointed manager of the Syria national football team in May 2011.[1]

On 24th August 2011, Syria coach Nizar Mahrous quits after Fifa disqualifies the Red Eagles from 2014 World Cup qualifying, The 48-year-old coach says he has lost the will and power to work after the West Asian nation were kicked out of World Cup qualifying by Fifa for fielding an ineligible player. [1]
