Nizampur is a town in Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is located at 33°47'7N 72°1'27E and has an altitude of 329 metres (1082 feet).[1] The area contains reserves of iron ore.[2]
The main town of Nizampur is situated in Illaqa (Area) Khwara, falling in Nowshera district (28 km away from Attock Fort) of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Illaqa Khwara comprises about 36 main villages and some newly extended small settlements. It has four (4) Union Councils i.e. 1: Nizampur Union Council, 2: Kahi Union Council, 3: Inzari Union Council, 4: Jabi/Mandori Union Council.This area is located on the right bank of river Indus and bordered to Khairabad, Bahadur Baba, Saidukhel, Cherat and Darra Adamkhel. There is one police station, one basic health unit, a Higher Secondary School for boys, a high school for girls and a number of Public Schools situated only in or around the Nizampur Bazar. Although initially the people of this area were famous for their farming but now they are producing the bulk of high profile professionals in every sphere of life. The main Nizampur Bazar has also gained some pace so far development is concerned, now almost every facility is available.There is a lush green wild life park nearby on the west (Kohat Road). There is a metalled Road connects Ameer village-Nizampur with Nowshera cantonment via Saidukhel-Manki Sharif. Another metalled Road connects Nizampur with Khairabad town.
