Faridi's Official Aide

The following fictional characters are official helpers to the spy and crime-fighter Colonel Faridi in the "Jasoosi Dunya" ("The Spy World") series of Urdu spy novels by Ibn-e-Safi.

Official Helpers of Colonel Faridi

CID Inspector Rekha Larson

Inspector Rekha is one of the many girls, who thinks she would be able to tame Colonel Hardstone's very controlled and strict emotions to stay away from women. However, as time goes by, her hopes slowly diminish.

Rekha is very intelligent. When it comes down to providing outcomes during an investigation, she prevails most of the other officers in the department. Due to her intelligence, Colonel Faridi keeps her involved in many of his investigations. Rekha often misinterprets Faridi's intentions and ultimately depart heart-broken. Due to his affection towards Faridi, Rekha never takes Hameed seriously. They often wrangle with each other, which turns out to be very entertaining for the reader. Rekha's first appearance was in "Surkh Daira" (The Red Circle - #53).

CID Inspector Asif

Inspector Asif’s first appearance is in "Heeray Ki Kaan" (The Diamond Mine - #13), with Anwar and Rasheeda. He is a very senior officer, but due to his inability to produce results, he is never promoted. He is extremely jealous of Colonel Faridi because of his success and reputation. Faridi, however, respects him as a senior member of the department.

Sub Inspector Jagdesh of Police

Sub-Inspector Jagdesh is first introduced in "Aurat Farosh Ka Qatil" (The Killer of the Woman-Trader - #3). Faridi helps him solve many cases. He gets promoted and placed in charge of the Central Police Station.He is also respected by Faridi due to his honest, earnest, and respectful nature towards his work.
