*Mike Blowers tied the Major League record for Grand Slams hit in consecutive games on the 16th & 17th of May 1993.
*Ken Griffey, Jr. duplicated the feat, clearing the bases on the 29th and 30th of April 1999.

The Cycle

* Jay Buhner, Alex Rodriguez, John Olerud, and Adrian Beltre are the only players to hit for the Cycle as Mariners.
* Little known trivia: Relief pitcher Norm Charlton is the only player to have witnessed all four contests. He was a player when Buhner, Rodriguez, and Olerud did it, and the Mariners pitching coach when Beltre did it.
*On Wednesday, June 23, 1993, Jay Buhner became one of only six players in Major League history to hit for the cycle that included a Grand Slam, which he hit in the first inning. He completed the cycle in a 14-inning contest against the Oakland Athletics at home in the Kingdome. Batting fifth for Seattle, between first baseman Pete O'Brien and designated hitter Tino Martinez. Buhner went 4 for 7 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored, including the winning run after hitting a triple in the bottom of the 14th inning. The Mariners won 8-7.
*On Thursday, June 5, 1997, Alex Rodriguez became the first Mariner to hit for the cycle in a nine-inning game and the first in an opposing ballpark. Rodriguez finished 4 for 6 with 3 runs and 2 RBI at Tiger Stadium. The Mariners' shortstop batted second in the lineup between second baseman Joey Cora and center fielder Ken Griffey, Jr. Rodriguez hit a solo home run in the first and completed the cycle with a double in the ninth. Seattle won 14-6 in a high octane victory that included homers from fellow Mariners Russ Davis, catcher Dan Wilson and a three-run blast from Jay Buhner—who also doubled.
*On Saturday, June 16, 2001, John Olerud joined Bob Watson (Houston and Boston) as the only players to hit for the cycle in both the American and National Leagues, having previously hit for the Cycle with the New York Mets on 9/11/1997. Olerud achieved his "American League" cycle during Interleague play against the San Diego Padres at Qualcomm Stadium. The tall first baseman batted cleanup between second baseman Bret Boone and center fielder Mike Cameron. Olerud completed the cycle with a two-run home run in the ninth inning and finished 4 for 5 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI as the M's routed the Padres 9-2.
*On Monday, September 1, 2008, Adrian Beltre became the fourth Mariner to hit for the cycle, when he went 5-for-6 against the Texas Rangers. In the second inning, Beltre hit a homer to left field; he followed that with a single in the fourth, another single in the sixth, a double in the seventh, and a triple in the eighth. He finished 5-for-6 with five runs and three RBIs. He became the only Mariner to have a five-hit game in which he scored five runs. The Mariners won.
