Technical information

There are several generations, the newest are the E-II and E-III series, which includes an aspherical lens.

Compatibility information

Nikon AF-I and AF-S teleconverter will only mount original Nikon Nikkor AF-S and AF-I lenses (without modification).[1][2] Modification needs removal of a small part.[3] Not recommended for use with Nikkor DX lenses although it mounts.[4][5]

List of compatible lenses

The compatibility and use vary by type and generation. The manual for each converter has details on compatibility. For the corrent E series converters: they are designed to be used with the current (professional-grade) AF-S lenses such as 200 2.0 AF-S and longer, exeptions do occur.
