2010 general election

Senator Kathleen Sgambati decided to retire after serving two terms. Her replacement on the Democratic side was Andrew Hosmer of Laconia. Hosmer was defeated by Republican Jim Forsythe of Strafford, who had defeated George Hurt of Gilford and David Bickford of New Durham in the September 14th primary.
