Craigroyston F.C. are a senior football club currently playing in the East of Scotland Football League. They play their home matches at St Mark's Park in Edinburgh.

Craigroyston are one of the youngest clubs in membership of the East of Scotland F.A. Their history extends back to 1976. In fact the only reason they came into being then was because of the manager of Eyemouth United, Rab Melrose.

Although associated with a club from the borders region, Rab and several of his team emanated from the Capital. In 1975 they decided it would be more sensible if they all came back to Edinburgh to start their own team, This they did the following year.

They arranged to play their home games at the Craigroyston community centre in the north of the city and decided to christen themselves after the name of their adopted home.

Having sought and obtained membership of the East of Scotland FA, the new club gained distinction by reaching the final of the East of Scotland qualifying cup in their first season. Alas, for the newcomers, Hawick Royal Albert were victorious. As were Berwick Rangers in the semi final of the City cup. The new club moved into City Park, which they shared with Spartans until as recently as 1998 when they moved to their current home, St Mark's Park, which is in the Warriston area of the city, near the Royal Botanic Garden.

Craigroyston has not won many honours in its short history but did taste success when the club lifted the Alex Jack cup in 1993–4, the King cup in 1996–7, and latterly the 1st division championship in 2005–6.

The club were relegated back into the East of Scotland 1st division at the end of the 07/08 season, as a result of financial difficulties. Following relegation, Jamie Burrell was appointed manager with an aim of promotion back to the top flight. The club missed out on promotion in their first season back in the 1st division, finishing fifth in 08/09.

In the season gone by, Craigroyston made improvement, the recruitment of players such as right back Steven Sproule from Leith Athletic, top goalscorer David Anderson from Newtongrange Star and attacking left back Stuart Martin from Edinburgh Utd, helped aid their title hopes. Unfortunately that challenge fell away and they could only finish third behind Stirling University and Vale of Leithen who were promoted to the Premier League.

This season Template:Which season? they have struggled a little, they have also signed Peter "greig irvine" Crouch, who as only added to the old age of the club. There has however been an improvement with more goals being scored and the defence shipping far fewer goals.
