† Appearances (Goals).Neville James Coleman (born 1930 in Prescot, England) was a footballer who played in The Football League for Crewe Alexandra and Stoke City. He made 114 appearances for Stoke and is currently holding the club's record for scoring most goals in a game.[1]
Career
Neville Coleman known as Tim wrote his name to Stoke City history when he scored seven goals in a 8-0 Victory over Lincoln City in a Second Division match in February 1957. After this impressive achievement Coleman struggled to find his goalscoring form and later joined Crewe. He spent 6 years at the Victoria Ground he scored 50 goals in 125 senior appearances. After retirement he went to work for the Royal Air Force.[2]
