Alec Beechman

Alec Beechman

Nevil Alexander Beechman (5 August 1896 – 6 November 1965)[1] was a National Liberal Party politician in England.

He was elected to the House of Commons at his first attempt, when he won the June 1937 by-election in the St Ives constituency in Cornwall after the National Liberal MP Walter Runciman was elevated to the peerage as Viscount Runciman of Doxford.[2]

Beechman held the seat at the 1945 general election,[2] and remained Member of Parliament (MP) for St Ives until he stood down at the 1950 general election.[3]
