Network Dating is a term that is used in the online dating industry to describe dating within a social media environment. Network dating has become popular through social media sites like Facebook and before that MySpace, but now we are starting to see website specific network dating like Fancy My Friend[1] were users of the site get signed up by a friend and utilize a network to introduce potential dates. Unlike the standard online dating websites, network dating uses the members real fist name and is not as anonymous.

As well as websites Facebook Apps are being developed that use Social Networking to connect people together. The largest one is Zoosk, that is designed for social media[2]. Zoosk application helps people in there local area meet.
