Network-neutral data center
- Network-neutral data center
-
Network-neutral data centers are commercial buildings (or carrier hotels) where multiple telecommunication carriers can house their network equipment for the primary purpose of accessing and developing network connections with one another. Network-neutral data centers are operated and supported by a neutral, third-party provider. Location, size and power of these data centers vary, but all handle the exchange of traffic that originates on one network to terminate on another.[1]

- It is imperative to point out the availability and pricing of cross connect as it relates to carrier/network neutrality of a data center. A Network/carrier neutral data center needs to have well published policy and pricing for all cross connects.
