Neolepetopsoidea is considered as a synonym of Lottioidea.^[2]

Previously Neolepetopsoidea was considered as a superfamily of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks within the clade Patellogastropoda.^[3]

(Families that are exclusively fossil are indicated with a dagger: †)

Neolepetopsoidea was synonymized with Lottioidea so all these three families also moved to superfamily Lottioidea in World Register of Marine Species.^[2]
