Neoi Poroi (Greek: Νέοι Πόροι) (new resources) is a coastal village, on the southernmost coast of Pieria, near the traditional village of "Παλαιοί Πόροι", Paleoi Poroi (old resources) and the vast and scenic wetlands in the northern part of Pinios.
According to tradition, in ancient Greece there was a half-god named Poros. He fell in love and gave his name to the place.
At the time of the 2001 census Neoi Poroi had 691 inhabitants. The main occupation in the village is tourism. A model development plan, has huge streets and squares.[1]
