Neoclinus okazakii is a species of chaenopsid blenny in the genus Neoclinus.[1] It is found in rocky reefs around Japan, in the northwestern Pacific ocean.[1] It was named by Ryuzo Fukao in 1987.[2] Male Neoclinus okazakii can reach a maximum length of 6.2 centimetres, while females can reach a maximum length of 4.48 centimetres.[1] The specific name "okazakii" refers to Dr. Toshio Okazaki, who is credited with leading to the identification of Neoclinus okazakii as a disctinct species.[2]
