Neil McLellan is a producer and programmer. Neil McLellan currently works in New York City as the creative director of a family of an international, multi-service production facility - The Lodge, The Station, and The Diner. Prior to his current involvement, Neil founded London's PhatAdCow, a unique company of composers and sound designers skilled in groundbreaking technology and traditional composition.[1] Working alongside his partner Matt Robertson, Neil has written and produced original compositions for all forms of media with clients including Nike, Levi's, Kellogg's, Davidoff, Hugo Boss and Salomon.[2]
Neil has worked with XL Recordings, Sony BMG Music Ent., Epic, Sire, Arista, Columbia, Maverick, Virgin, and Island Records to produce a string of #1 hits, as well as gold and platinum records.[3] Bands Neil has worked with include: The Prodigy, Erasure, Madonna, Archive, Oasis, Nine Inch Nails, Orbital, Eric Kupper, Carl Cox, Sasha, Senser, Telepopmusik, Hinda Hicks, Manu Chao, Brother Brown, Terrorvision, U.N.K.L.E., and Heartless Crew.[4][5]
Neil's most popular work began with the UK band The Prodigy, co-producing and mixing the tremendously successful Music For The Jilted Generation, and mixing the hit singles Firestarter and Breathe.[6] In 2004, he co-produced the No.1 Prodigy album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned, co-writing several tracks.
Neil's latest album with the Prodigy, Invaders Must Die, debuted at the top of the UK Album Chart on the March 1, 2009 with 97,254 copies sold, giving them their fourth consecutive number one album in the UK. The album charted top five in Poland, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Canada, and Australia, in addition to top 10 in Norway and several other European countries. The single Omen debuted at #1 on the Canadian Singles Chart on the third week of February 2009. The album received Gold sales status of over 35,000 units in Australia on the April 12, 2009. As of November 7, 2009 the album sold over 1 million copies worldwide.[7]
