Abellio operate public transport services in Europe, with both both bus and rail networks. They are the international arm of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch national railwayoperator.

Czech Republic

Abellio runs the Probo Bus network in the Czech Republic.

Germany

Abellio operates several regional railway lines in the German state of Northrhine-Westfalia, as well as owning several bus companies throughout Germany.

UK

Buses

Abellio owns the bus companies Abellio London and Abellio Surrey, who operate bus services in the South East of the UK.

Rail

They currently hold the Northern Rail and Merseyrail franchises, both 50-50 owned with Serco.[1] They won the Greater Anglia franchise in October 2011 and will operate it between February 2012 and September 2014.[2]

Abellio has also been shortlisted by the DfT for the InterCity West Coast Mainline franchise.[3] They previously bid for both the South Central & West Midlands rail franchises which were instead won by Govia.
