NavoteñoLocal elections will be held in the city of Navotas on May 10, 2010 within the Philippine general election. The voters will elect for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, a District representative, and councilors, six in each of the city's two legislative districts.
Mayoral and vice mayoral election
Incumbents mayor Tobias Reynald Tiangco and vice mayor Patrick Joseph Javier is now on their third term as mayor and second term as vice mayor of Navotas City, respectively. Toby's brother, John Rey, announced that he is running for the mayorship of the city. They are running under the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino although Javier was endorsed by the Liberal Party. If Javier wins, he will be on his third and last term. Mayor Tiangco is running for a congressional post in the Lone District. If he wins, he will be the first to represent the city in the House of Representatives. The Tiangco brothers and Javier will run unopposed.[1]

Tobias Reynald Tiangco
He is the outgoing mayor of the city, holding it for nine years.
Patrick Joseph Javier
He is the incumbent vice mayor of the city. He is a son of ex-Mayor Atty. Victor Javier and He is a grandson of ex-Mayor Pacifico G. Javier. A former independent from 2004–2007, he became a member of the Tiangcos' Partido Navoteño in 2007.
John Reynold Tiangco
He is the younger brother of Toby and the leader of the city's Joint Rescue Team. He is also a businessman.
Domingo Elape
He is the owner of the Frabelle Group of Companies. Ran and won as an independent in 2004, he became a member of the Tiangcos' Partido Navoteño in 2007.
Richard San Juan
He is a son of Popoy San Juan, ex-barangay captain of Bangkulasi place.
Alfredo Vicencio
He is the barangay chief in Navotas West and is the leader of the city's Liga ng mga Barangay.
Eduardo Maño
He is a former barangay councilor in North Bay Boulevard South and a city councilor since 2007.
Reynaldo Monroy
He is a grandson of ex-mayor Hermogenes Monroy and a son of 2004 mayoralty candidate Salvador Monroy (Ind.). He ran but lost in 2007 under the Liberals.
Bernardo Nazal
He is the barangay chief in North Bay Boulevard North.
Ernani Calayag
He is a grandson of ex-councilor Rosendo Bonzon.
Jose Norman Magpoc
Reccelle Miralles
He is a barangay councilor in North Bay Boulevard South. He ran but lost in 2007 under the Liberals.
Edita Santos
Avelino Nacar Jr.
He is a chairman of a homeowners' association in North Bay Boulevard South.
Ricardo Balasa
Clint Geronimo
He is a former chairman of the city's SK Federation, won as a councilor last 2007.
Elsa Bautista
She is a daughter of ex-mayor Cipriano Bautista, ran and won in 2007 as a Liberal.
Marielle del Rosario
She is a daughter of ex-mayor Felipe del Rosario Jr. and a former newscaster for IBC Headliners from 2005-'06.[2]
Enrico Gino-Gino
His father was an ex-councilor.
Analiza Lupisan
She is the wife of ex-councilor Arnel Lupisan.
Ran but lost as a Liberal in 2007

He ran in 2007 under Partido Navoteño but lost.
Florencio Araga
He ran in 2007 under Partido Navoteño but lost. The death of party mate Roberto Laiz placed him into the city council as a replacement councilor.
Results
The candidates for mayor and vice mayor with the highest amount of votes wins the seat; they are voted separately, therefore, they may be of different parties when elected.All candidates with party affiliation are supported by Partido Navoteño, the only local party in the city.
