International Police Immigration Service (Norway)

The National Police Immigration Service[1] (Norwegian: Politiets utlendingsenhet) is the unit in the Norwegian Police Service for handling immigraiton cases. It identifies and registers immigrants and asylum seekers, and it responsible for transit of those deemed to be illegal aliens. The unit was created in 2003.
