About

National Medical College is located in Birgunj, Nepal and is affiliated to the renowned Tribhuvan University and is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council.The Campus is only 4 K.M. away from the Indian border town of Raxaul. It has a 1500 bedded multispeciality hospital within its premises and serves as a major venue for healthcare for people of Parsa and many nearby districts of the Terai region of Nepal and adjoining border towns of India. It was established in the year 2001 and is now in its 10th year of operation. It is the second largest medical college in Nepal in respect of total area. Only BPKIHS, Dharan is larger. It has a mixed population of Indian and Nepali students. National Medical College also has a Nursing Campus.

  • Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing
  • B.N. (Post Basic) Nursing

Facilities

Facilities of the Teaching Hospital:-

  • The Surgery Department has several super specialty units such as Plastic-Surgery, Uro-Surgery, Pediatric Surgery in addition to the fully computerized Endoscopy facility.
  • Well equipped Radiology Department (Multi-slice C.T. Scan, USG, Mammography)
  • The Department of Orthopedics has the facility for Digital C-Arm and spinal surgery.

Facilities of The Academic Section:-

  • Separate Boy & Girls Hostel which can accommodate 1,000 students.
  • 24 hour Library.
