Narwat is a gotra, or clan, of Jats found in India.
History and origin
This gotra is originated from a Nagavanshi named Naimrata.
Distribution
The village of Kherikalan in Faridabad Tehsil of Faridabad District in Haryana.
80% of population is of the Narwat gotras and remaining 20% are Tevetia and Dugar.[citation needed]
Kherikalan is the biggest village of that area and it is situated at a distance of 6 km from Faridabad in the east direction beyond Agra canal. This is an old historical village founded by Anangpal Tanwar descends. Narwats participated in the war against the British during independence through azad hind fauj. The Narwat ancestors also fought against the Mughals.
