Plot

3 evil ninja have set free an evil spirit beast monster to cause great calamity. The only way to stop it is by getting all the 5 mirrors and sealing the beast. Along with the evil spirit beast, there are evil spirits escaping in the form of a purple gas. Whoever stays around this gas for too long will turn evil and fight until they die. After Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi return from a mission they see a girl being chased by 3 men. Naruto and Sakura decide to fight these guys. After the battle the leader of the men (Rokkaku) sees Kakashi and flees due to a lack of chakra. The girl who was being chased (Nazuna) explains what happened to Naruto. After hearing what happened Kakashi tells Naruto to take Nazuna to Lady Hokage's (Tsunade) house. Nazuna then explains what happened to Tsunade. After hearing what happened Tsunade decides to send several teams on a mission to find the 5 mirrors and seal the beast.

Team 10 joins Naruto and Sakura for the mission of obtaining the 1st mirror. The group goes to Sulfurous Cave, and is almost defeated by Rokkaku, but manages to survive when Rokkaku leaves to power Gensho. The group goes on to the room with the 1st mirror, and Naruto carelessly grabs it, taking the group to what appears to be the Great Naruto Bridge. Haku and Zabuza appear to fight the group, but are eventually defeated. When they return to the Leaf Village, they hear that Hinata, Kiba, and Shino have been sent to get the Second Mirror in the Crystal Ravine. But Tsunade loses contact with them and Naruto's team must head to the Crystal Ravine with pet Katsuyu.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Naruto Path of Ninja 2 is similar to that of your typical rpg. For the majority of the game the characters status is displayed on the top screen and the overworld is presented on the bottom screen.

Overworld

The player is able to control a variety of characters and certain characters are needed to accomplish certain tasks. Each characters progress is measured by experience points, which are needed to "level up" and obtain new jutsus. In battle you earn "ryo" which can be used to spend on equipment and ninja tags.

Battle

The battle system is similar to the predecessor in which you take turns doing jutsus and attacks against the opponent. The effectiveness of your attack is based on where the character is located and the type of jutsu.[1]
