Nantong Middle School of Jiangsu Province (Simplified Chinese: 江苏省南通中学; shortname: 通中, Tong-Zhong) is a high school in Nantong, Jiangsu, People's Republic of China. In the 1930s it was regarded as an elite school.[1] Alumni include prominent Communist revolutionaries Jiang Shiangqing and Jiang Shufeng, father and uncle of Jiang Zemin, and Gu Minyuan, who recruited the Jiang brothers into the Communist Party while they were at the school.[2]

In May 2008, Jiang Zemin wrote an inscription for Nantong Middle School, "百年通中英才辈出" (which means during the 100 years' history of Nantong Middle School, there are lots of talents going out from this school.) There are many scientists and artists going out from here. Some of them are Yang Le, Yuan Yunkai, Fan Zeng, Yuan Yunsheng, Yuan Yunpu, Zhao Wuji, Gu Lefu, etc.
