Nalini Joshi is an Australian mathematician.
Joshi is currently a Professor (and has been the Head of School) in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney (she is the first woman to hold either position in the School [1]), and President of the Australian Mathematical Society.[2] She is a member of the School's Applied Mathematics Research Group.
Joshi completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney, receiving a Bachelor of Science with Honours in applied mathematics. She holds a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy from Princeton University in applied mathematics.[3] She completed her Ph.D. in 1987 under the supervision of Martin David Kruskal.[4]
