Stathmonotus gymnodermis, known commonly as the Naked blenny in the Bahamas, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States,[1] is a species of chaenopsid blenny in the genus Stathmonotus.[2] It is found in coral reefs from the Bahamas and Puerto Rico to coasts of northern South America, in the western Atlantic ocean.[2] It was named by Victor Gruschka Springer in 1955,[3] and can reach a maximum length of 4 centimetres.[2]
