Nakambala Leopards Football Club is a Zambian soccer club based in the Mazabuka district of southern Zambia. Its main sponsor is Zambia Sugar.
The team won promotion to the Zambia Premier League for the 2009 soccer season after coming in second position during their 2008 season, unfortunately they were relegated in 2009.
The club boasts of their only soccer export in the name of Signs Chibambo now in Nigeria playing for Heartland F.C..
The clubs top scorers are Nickson Chilundika and Linner Mwikisa, both 12 goals.
The Nakambala Leopards FC Executive is led by a seasoned soccer administrator Eng. Esau Phiri as Chairman and Mr. Obert Habasimbi as Hon. Secretary. The 2011 NLFC excutive committee is as follows; Chairman - Eng Esau Phiri, Vice Chairman - Snr Eng Lloyd Mwale, Secretary - Obert Habasimbi, Vice Secretary - Oscar Chanda, Treasurer - Henry K Mambwe, Vice Treasurer - Royd Shanzuwa and the three committee members are Clement Gumbo, Peter Mudala and bo Chibambo.
The team has so far done very well after 8 games played, leading the log table with 19 points. The fans should watch out for Signs Chibambo who has hit top form after his return from Nigeria. Signs has partnered very well with Mundia Lubinda and Danny Masumba not forgetting Aaron Sakala an upcoming dangerman. rm
