Nairanjana Ghosh (Bengali নৈরজ্ঞনা ঘোষ ) is a journalist, senior news anchor and producer, at News Time Bengali A news channel owned by the Rose Valley Group. She is very popular and the most successful news anchor in West Bengal. She started a journey that is continuously being followed by the newcomers in the news industry.

Early life

Nairanjana was born and brought up in Kolkata.

Education

Nairanjana did her schooling from Loreto Convent Entally (I.C.S.E.) and Modern High School for Girls(W.B.H.S.E.). She completed her Bachelors degree(B.A.) in English Literature from St. Xavier's College in 2003. She did P.G.D.M.C. in Mass Communication from Jadavpur University in 2003-2004. She completed her M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Calcutta Universityin 2006.

Career

Nairanjana started her career in the media at Star Ananda in December 2004 as a journalist and news anchor.She was the launching face of the channel which was launched on 1st June,2005.She was with Star Ananda until October 2005. Then she joined Kolkata TV as a senior news anchor and journalist. She was also the launching face of the channel and worked there until July 2009. Nairanjana joined News Time at its inception in July 2009 as a senior news anchor, journalist and producer. News Time adopted many creative ideas from Nairanjana.

Awards and achievements

Nairanjana was awarded Best News Anchor of the year at the Tele Cine Awards,2007. She exclusively covered world famous footballer Diego Armando Maradona's Kolkata visit in 2008. Famous cricketer Sourav Ganguly featured in many analytical shows based on cricket with her during the ICC World Cup 2011.
