History Mysteries, also known as Mysteries Through Time, is a series of children's novels published by American Girl, a subsidiary of Mattel. The series comprises a total of 22 books by various authors and forms a companion series to the popular American Girl books.
As the title suggests, these are mysteries set in the past and often revolve around a famous event in American history. The main character is always a girl of 11 or 12 years old.
