Myriam (album) (Homonymous) the second studio album of Myriam, also called on her website: "Myriam: Lo que Soy, lo que Pretendo y lo que Fui" (Myriam: What I Am, What I Pretend and What I Was) making reference to the lyrics of the album's first single "Hasta El Limite" eleven inedit songs with the collaboration of Tiziano Ferro, Leonel (Ex-Sin Bandera). Again Myriam co-write a theme along with Estrella. This album Myriam bring a more fresh concept, almost 100% pop genre with a little touches of flamenco. It was released in July, 2004.

Album information

It was recorded in Argentina and the producer was Cachorro Lopez who also had worked with Julieta Venegas, etc. Myriam came from a really bad time, because she was being very criticized by the third place in Desafio de Estrellas. But all that was forgotten when this album came out. Hasta el Limite was the first single of the album, single that touch the peak of the tops more than 6 months. Hasta el limite is the first song that had a promotional video. Second single was Porque Soy Mujer who was written by Myriam and her ex-classmate Estrella.

The album was a total success, at two weeks of being available it reach gold status in MEX, at the time the album had sold more than 200,000 copies certificating 2xPlatinium. The album in USA was a Latin success selling gold status, 50,000 copies.
