MyStock was created as an alternative to existing microstock photography agencies. MyStock administrators are composed of an in-house staff. The MyStock image approval system is a 3 tiered process that every image must pass through in order to be added to the collection. Images will be judged not only on their technical properties but also on their marketability.

History
The company was incorporated March 14, 2007. MyStock began accepting images for its collection in 2008. Image licensing began in January, 2009.
Contributors
MyStock is the curator of a stock photography library made up of images that have been provided by contributing members from across the globe.
Contributors receive a commission of between 35% and 65% of each sale, depending on their membership status. Members who sign an exclusive contract with MyStock receive 10% higher commissions.
Purchasing and Use
Images are available for licensing once they have been screened by the in-house inspection staff. Images are available in Small, Medium, Large, XLarge and XXLarge sizes which correspond to the image's resolution.
Purchasers may either purchase the image using a credit card for the listed license fee or choose to buy download credit packages to receive a bulk discount. Purchasers may also use a combination of download credits and credit card payment.
Files are downloaded immediately after purchasing the license and agreeing to its terms. The Royalty-Free License Agreement[1] governs the use of any downloaded image.
