Mutiusinazita High School

Mutiusinazita High School is a high school in Zimbabwe.

History

Mutiusinazita High School was established in 1983, three years after Zimbabwe gained its independence from British colonialism. It is located in Buhera south about 80 kilometres (50 mi) from the Murambinda Growth Point and 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Birchenough Bridge. The school attained High School status in 2002 with Girison Tipi as the headmaster. The very first stream of students passed so well that the school received The Secretary's Bell, a shield of honor for academic performance.

The school raised controversy in elections from 2000 onwards by opening its doors to ZANU (PF) to have some of its buildings used as "bases". It falls under Headman Chimombe and Chief Nyashanu.

The school boasts of some of the best athletes Buhera has ever produced. One of these is Innocent Nyamudeza, arguably the fastest short-distance runner ever produced at Mutiusinazita. Over the years it has produced students with an excellent academic record, including Christopher Munhuweyi who sat for 14 Ordinary Level subjects and passed exceptionally to set a record at the school.
