- Lahij
Lahij or Lahej (Arabic: لحج [IPA|Laḥij] ) is a city and an area located between
Ta'izz andAden inYemen . From the 18th to the 20th century, its rulers were of theAl-Abdali family who with Al-Sallami, Al-Ramada, Al-Sindi and al-Aqrabi, claims relation toAhl al-Bayt (the family ofMuhammad ). Lahij was the capital city ofSultanate of Lahej , aprotectorate of theBritish Empire until 1967, when the sultan was expelled and the city became a part ofPeople's Republic of South Yemen .Ancient-regional- history:
According to history-researchers, Mr A. Muster, Sir R.Fiennes, K.Salibi + Dr.I.Velikovsky,in Hebrew Laheij was named Beer-Lacharoth, the place that Hagar went to, with Ishmaha-el as a student High-priest when expelled by Abraham. This local Lore is overlooked because, after, the babylonic-Exile a new -israel + jerusalem( Kadesh !)were created in present 'Palestine'.Here in Hadramaut(>> Shibam.)were supposedly Zeven Wells with a brackish SEVEN- UP Source which is the correct biblical-Topology, for the ZAM- ZAM source( Supposedly in Medina.) of the ARAFAT- Mountain that was the Place of exile of Ishmael + Hagar. ( excuse me for Latin-Toponymy-translation of the unknown regional citynames.)dd 22-June--2008
