Musicfeeds

Musicfeeds

Music Feeds is a free bi-weekly digital music and lifestyle magazine (street press) established in 2008 and based in Sydney, Australia. It is distributed electronically every second Tuesday, with additional material posted on the website regularly.[1]

As distinct from direct competitors Drum Media and Brag, Musicfeeds purports to cover more independent and self-funded musicians. This is a distinction that has been noted by several local music sources.[2][3][4]

Their mission statement states:

We're proud to offer bands and artists a publication to promote their work, and give readers an opportunity to stay on top of what's going on in the under-reported world of independent talent.
We've been in the industry for a while, and over the past few years we've noticed a worrying trend of commercialization. Dollars have started to dominate. We decided something had to be done.
Music Feeds. Get excited about the future.[5]
