Fujishima stable (formerly known as Musashigawa stable) is a heya or stable of sumo wrestlers, one of the Dewanoumi group of stables. It was set up on 29 August 1981 by Musashigawa Oyakata, the former yokozuna Mienoumi, who branched off from Dewanoumi stable.[1] By the early 2000s it had become the strongest stable in sumo, with a yokozuna, three ozeki and several other top division wrestlers. As of September 2010, it had sixteen sumo wrestlers.
On 30 September 2010 Musashigawa stood down as head coach and was replaced by Fujishima Oyakata, the former ozeki Musoyama, who changed the name of the heya to Fujishima stable.
